| This paper explains what Dispute Review Boards are, what they do and how they do it, then goes on to consider whether or not the UK construction industry could benefit from adopting the DRB process, particularly since it has already recently embraced adjudication and an addition to the arsenal of dispute resolution processes in the UK. The conclusion is that partnering so far represents the only concession to the recommendation of Latham that the industry seek to avoid disputes as opposed to merely embracing faster methods for resolving them and that DRB?s, which have as much to do with avoidance as resolution could be a step in the right direction for the industry. |
